Why two thirds of apples in UK are imported

For apple and pear farmers, the harvest is well underway. After a strong yield in 2009 it is expected that this year will see another bumper crop, but despite the large amount of apples produced in the UK, only a third of them are eaten in this country.

Simon Jack reports from an apple farm in Kent and asks why the supermarkets do not stock more home-grown apples.
