US economic growth slows to 1.6%
Economic growth in the US has been revised down to 1.6% from 2.4%, in what the Federal Reserve's Ben Bernanke said was a recovery "somewhat weaker" than previously hoped.
Speaking to fellow bankers at an annual meeting in Wyoming, Mr Bernanke said he was prepared to step in if the situation worsens.
