Conquering the fieriest of cuisines

Chengdu was the final stop of British Prime Minister David Cameron's three-day visit to China. The city is famed for its pandas but also known across China for its tongue-burning cuisine.

The hotpot is the king of cuisines - a must-have for any visitor. Packed with Sichuan peppercorns, it's an oily brew that packs a punch. Our man Martin Patience risked his tonsils to take a taste.
