Guantanamo Bay detentions explained

American authorities have sent extra medical staff to the Guantanamo detention camp to help deal with a growing hunger strike by its inmates.

One hundred of its 166 detainees are now refusing food, in protest at their indefinite detention. Most are being held without charge.

Some of the striking detainees are being fed through nasal tubes.

Jonathan Beale reports.
