Boston suspects 'intended to attack others'

Boston police chief Ed Davis has said that he believes the brothers suspected of carrying out the marathon bombings intended to attack again.

Speaking to US broadcaster CBS, he said that based on the evidence that was found at the scene of the gun battle, and the firepower that they had, he believed "that they were going to attack other individuals".

He said that improvised explosive devices were found "strewn about the area" and said that the operation was "as dangerous as it gets in urban policing".
