US special forces Afghan helicopter 'downed' by Taliban

A total of 31 US special forces have been killed in a helicopter crash in eastern Afghanistan.

It is the biggest single loss the US has suffered since the war began ten years ago.

The Taliban have claimed responsibility. A local eyewitness told the BBC a rocket hit the Chinook before it came down.

Andrew North reports from Washington.
