Gaza: Audio diaries show fear on both sides of conflict

In the last four weeks, the conflict between Israel and Gaza has resulted in the deaths of more than 1,800 Palestinians and more than 65 Israelis.

Two people who have been experiencing the conflict first hand are Maram Whedee, 22, and David Graniewitz, 53.

In audio diaries recorded between 28 July and 3 August, Maram described how she feared for her life in Gaza, and David said he was being "eaten away with worry" for the life of his son, an Israeli soldier.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire programme on Tuesday 5 August 2014.
