Hamas: 'We are getting killed but we won't give up'

Hamas has confirmed there will be a 24-hour truce over Eid but spokesman Ehab Al Ghossein said hostilities would not cease until Israel lifted the blockade on Gaza.

"The price of freedom will be high - nobody can make me hold a white flag and this is the sense for all Palestinians," he told BBC correspondent Ian Pannell.

The closure of borders, which Israel says is a vital security measure, had resulted in a "slow death", he continued.
