Netanyahu: Prepared to 'continue and intensify operation'
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will expand its airstrikes on Gaza if Hamas rejects a truce proposal by Egypt.
Hamas, which controls Gaza, is still discussing the plan, but its armed wing has rejected it as a "surrender".
Speaking at a joint news conference in Tel Aviv with Germany's foreign minister, Prime Minister Netanyahu said "We are prepared to continue and intensify our military operation."
