Iraqi FM demands apology from PM Nouri Maliki

Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari has said Prime Minister Nouri Maliki must apologise and withdraw his remarks - after the Iraqi leader accused the Kurds of harbouring extremists.

Speaking to the BBC, Mr Zebari, who is himself Kurdish, said the situation in Iraq was the worst it had ever been, describing the current conflict as "poisonous".
