Military strategy 'not enough' in Iraq

The US must "take the long view" of the situation in Iraq and not become overly reliant on a military strategy, Karl Eikenberry has said.

The former US Ambassador to Kabul told the Today programme that the conflict in the country cannot be overcome simply through the use of drone strikes and by sending members of America's special forces to Iraq.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Tuesday 24 June.
