Hop on board with the West Bank's first female bus driver
Najlaa Asia surprised many people in Palestinian society when she decided to turn her much-loved hobby of driving buses into a career, becoming the first female bus driver in the West Bank city of Tulkarm.
In the Palestinian territories' patriarchal society, it is unusual for women to take on such professions.
But Najlaa says that since earning her licence in April, passengers have been getting used to seeing a woman behind the wheel - and many now are even supporting her.
Hadya Alalawi reports.
