Egyptian and Russian ministers in high level talks
Russia's foreign and defence ministers have met senior Egyptian officials in Cairo for the highest level talks in decades.
They are discussing improving military cooperation and a deal on arms that could be worth as much as $2bn.
The meeting follows a US decision to cut defence aid to Egypt in response to the ousting of President Mohammed Morsi.
