Syria: UN delivers grim assessment of refugee crisis

The United Nations has delivered a grim assessment of the deteriorating refugee crisis in Syria.

In March it warned that the country was "spiralling towards full scale disaster" with a million people having fled over the border.

The situation has since escalated dramatically with 1.5 million Syrians now seeking refuge outside the country.

The BBC's Diplomatic Correspondent Bridget Kendall reports.
