Tripoli 'carnival' to mark revolution anniversary

Libyans have been marking the first anniversary of the start of the revolution which eventually ended Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's 42-year rule.

There have been celebrations in towns and cities across the country, including the capital Tripoli.

The BBC's Gabriel Gatehouse visited Martyrs' Square and said there was a "carnival atmosphere" as men, women and children united to rejoice.
