Israel appeals for help over wildfires

Emergency services are battling to contain a blaze in Israel, which has been raging through countryside near the city of Haifa.

Hundreds of people have been evacuated, including the inmates of a prison. The cause of the blaze is not known, but Israel had an exceptionally hot summer and has had little rain since.

BBC Persian's Mohammad Manzarpour is at the scene of the fire and said the area has had little rain in recent months.
