Tear gas and water cannon at Caracas protest

Further clashes have erupted between Venezuelan riot police and opponents of President Maduro.

Venezuelan riot police have used tear gas and rubber bullets in an attempt to break up thousands of demonstrators in Caracas.

They tried to stop the march reaching a key road, then edged back slightly as masked protesters threw stones and Molotov cocktails.

Eight people have died in the past three weeks of violent protest against President Maduro.
