Felipe Calderon opens new $1.8bn metro line for Mexico City

A new metro line in Mexico's largest city has been opened by the country's outgoing President, Felipe Calderon.

The $1.8bn addition to Mexico City's public transport network has been described as one of the most significant and complex public works in recent Mexican history.
