Brazil soldiers clash with striking police officers
Police on strike in the Brazilian state of Bahia have clashed with soldiers sent to remove them from the state assembly.
Troops fired rubber bullets at protesting police officers, who walked out on Tuesday following demands for a 30% pay increase and and better working conditions.
The murder rate in the state capital, Salvador, has more than doubled since police stopped working.
