Brazil calls in the military to help clear Rio slum

"Surrender or face an assault." That was the ultimatum delivered by the Brazilian authorities to hundreds of alleged drug traffickers holed up in a Rio de Janeiro slum.

It followed a week-long offensive by police in which dozens of people died. Now the security forces have moved in.
