Plane crashes on Jersey runway

A plane from the Channel Island of Guernsey crashed after landing at Jersey Airport.

Blue Islands airline said mechanical failure caused the plane's landing gear to collapse as it was taxiing to the terminal after touchdown.

None of the 43 passengers and crew was injured in the crash, but the runway was closed and all other flights suspended.
