Malaysia Airlines: 'Plane had clean maintenance record'
Vice President of Malaysia Airlines Huib Gorter has told a press conference at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport that Flight MH17 has a "clean maintenance record" and was on an approved route.
The plane crashed in eastern Ukraine with almost 300 people on board on Thursday.
The Boeing 777 had been flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
The two sides in Ukraine's civil conflict have accused each other of shooting the jet down with a missile.
