Pope poses for selfies at Palm Sunday celebrations

More than 100,000 pilgrims flocked to St Peter's Square as Pope Francis led the traditional Palm Sunday celebrations.

The important date on the Christian Calendar marks the beginning of Holy Week but the popular pontiff was more than happy to break with tradition, hopping off his pope-mobile to pose for selfies with the crowd.

Alan Johnston reports from Rome.
