Ukraine crisis: Russia 'unjustified', says Hague

"There is no justification" for Russia's actions in Ukraine, UK foreign secretary William Hague has said.

His comments come as Russian military forces continue to strengthen their grip on the Crimean peninsula.

Speaking to the BBC's Today programme, Mr Hague also warned that Russia will face "significant costs" having so far defied calls from the West to pull back troops.

He also added that he was "very concerned" about the possibility of Russia acting in other areas of Ukraine.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Monday 3 March.
