Germany floods: Thousands evacuated as more rain forecast

Thousands of people in Germany have been evacuated from their homes as floods continue to cause problems, particularly in the east of the country.

The River Elbe has threatened to overwhelm flood defences with water levels in the eastern city of Magdeburg nearly four times higher than normal.
