Thousands abused in Dutch Catholic institutions
Tens of thousands of children have suffered sexual abuse in Dutch Catholic institutions, according to a report by an independent commission.
It says church officials apparently "failed to adequately deal with" the abuse or help the victims.
The commission received more than 1,000 reports of abuse at Catholic schools, seminaries and orphanages. It suggests as many as one in 10 children could have been affected.
The BBC's Anna Holligan has more.
