Greek views: 'No political leaders to fix the economy'

Greek politicians are thrashing out the details of a short-term unity government, after Prime Minister George Papandreou agreed to stand down.

His resignation was part of a deal to overcome political and financial crisis in the country, which in any case is expected to hold elections in a few months' time.

On the streets of the capital, Athens, views ranged from despair at the failure of successive governments, to hope that new polls could herald a fresh start for the country and its beleaguered economy.
