Ireland's closeness to catholic church tested
Ireland's traditional closeness to the Catholic Church was challenged recently, when when the Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny himself a practicing Catholic lambasted the Church hierarchy over its secrecy in withholding information about clerical child sex abuse.
But does this reflect a shift in the country's unquestioning acceptance of the Vatican and its structures?
