Australian elections: Rudd and Abbott head-to-head

The lead-up to the Australian election has been turbulent by any standards but the campaign officially swung into gear today.

After Kevin Rudd toppled Julia Gillard as Australian Prime Minister he'll now go head-to-head with the opposition leader, Tony Abbott, hoping to regain the trust of voters.

Jon Donnison reports from Sydney.
