Cyclone hits Australia coast

Australians in Queensland brace themselves after dire warnings of potential storm devastation - in a region recently hit by flooding.

Thousands of residents have fled their homes and are hunkered down in temporary evacuation centres across the region.

Queensland has already been hit by months of flooding and this storm is certain to compound that misery.

The BBC's Nick Bryant has this report.
