New Zealand Prime Minister John Key: 'We are a nation in mourning'

New Zealand Prime Minister John Key has said the nation is ''in mourning'' after a second explosion in a mine where 29 miners were caught underground last week.

It is believed that there are no survivors.

The chief executive of the South Island mine, Peter Whittal, has said his company will make every effort to retrieve the bodies of the men.
