Xinjiang station attack: President Xi Jinping urges action

An explosion at a train station in Urumqi in China's troubled Xinjiang region has killed three people and injured nearly 80 others.

State media described it as a terrorist incident in which the attackers also slashed people with knives.

The blast took place just as President Xi Jinping completed a visit to the region.
