Chinese general's son Li Tianyi in rape trial

The teenage son of a prominent Chinese general is going on trial accused of involvement in a gang rape in a Bejing hotel, earlier this year.

Li Tianyi is one of five defendants in a case that has aroused considerable public anger at the offspring of the political elite, who are widely seen as spoilt and reckless.

The BBC's China correspondent Martin Patience reports.
