McDonalds, drugs and a birthday - top news from China

The trial of a group of cult members in China who beat a woman to death at a McDonald's restaurant has been among the biggest stories in China this week.

Other issues dominating Chinese media included the arrest of Jaycee Chan, son of Hollywood actor Jackie, on drugs charges, and the celebration of 110 years since the birth of former leader Deng Xiaoping.
