Thailand: Troops deployed ahead of 'nationwide' protest

Thousands of troops and police have been deployed around central Bangkok to try to prevent protesters opposed to last month's military coup from gathering.

Parts of the city centre have been blocked off to traffic and train stations closed.

The BBC's Jonathan Head said a nationwide protest had been planned for Sunday.
