India opposition BJP heads for landslide victory

The opposition Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called its predicted landslide win in India's election a "people's victory".

The governing Congress party has admitted defeat, as early results indicate a strong lead for the BJP and its leader Narendra Modi.
