Hong Kong confirms first case of H7N9 bird flu

Hong Kong has confirmed its first case of the new H7N9 strain of bird flu.

The virus has led to the deaths of several dozen people in mainland China since it emerged in April this year.

The victim is said to be an Indonesian domestic worker who had travelled to China.

Hong Kong has now suspended the import of chickens from three Chinese farms across the border.

From Hong Kong, Juliana Liu reports.
