New scheme offers hope to slum families in the Punjab

Pakistan is facing a severe housing crisis, with more than half the population living in slums, illegal settlements or rented homes.

But in the Punjab a new housing scheme - which could be extended throughout the rest of the country - is giving low income families the chance to buy their own homes.

BBC Urdu's Saba Eitizaz reports.
