Rape 'routinely' used as torture in DRC prisons
A UK based charity is warning that rape is being routinely used in state prisons across the Democratic Republic of Congo as a means of torturing women who are politically active.
Research by the organisation Freedom from Torture found that more than half of the women examined had been gang-raped.
