'Potential' for South Sudan civil war
The president of the UN Security Council, Gerard Araud, has said that the conflict in South Sudan could escalate into a civil war.
Mr Araud told the BBC the UN has received reports that hundreds of people have been killed in violence since an attempted coup on Sunday.
He said 20,000 people had taken refuge in UN compounds around the capital, Juba, and that food and medical supplies were running out fast.
