Mau Mau torture victims compensation 'is not enough'
Kenyans tortured by British colonial forces during the Mau Mau uprising will receive payouts totalling £20m, the UK government has announced.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague expressed "sincere regret" for the abuses which saw thousands of people killed in Kenya in the 1950s.
Mau Mau veteran Mathenge Wa Ireri welcomed the move to pay compensation but said "it is not quite enough because of the punishment we had".
