Mali crisis: French-led soldiers 'in control of Gao'

Islamist rebels in Mali have suffered their biggest setback since the arrival of French troops two weeks ago.

They've been driven from their stronghold of Gao in the centre of the country, French officials say.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has agreed to refuel French warplanes conducting operations in Mali.
