Algerian singer Kamelia ‘not shy of love in English’

French-Algerian singer Kamelia is embarking on a solo career in R&B and what she calls "new soul".

Until recently, she was performing with rap band Z-Electric but the group has split and now she is aiming to release an album in April 2013.

She was born in the suburbs of Paris, studied music at the Paris Conservatoire and has been studying business administration in London.

The singer told BBC Africa's Bola Mosuro why she finds singing in English particularly liberating.
