The complex process of drawing down Camp Bastion

Camp Bastion was once a bustling military metropolis, in its sheer scale comparable to a town the size of Reading.

There were fast food restaurants, local traders selling souvenirs, and three churches. Now there is just one church.

Drawing down is a very complex process - clearing the camp is the biggest logistical operation undertaken since World War Two.
