Obama to hold talks with Karzai on Afghan exit strategy

US President Barack Obama is to hold talks in Washington with his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai about a continued international military presence in the country.

The US is committed to bringing home most of America's 66,000 combat troops by the end of 2014, but some will remain because of questions over Afghanistan's ability to ensure its own security.
