A dolphin which became stranded on sandbanks in the River Dee has been taken out to sea after it was rescued by lifeboat.

The animal was taken aboard Flint's inshore RNLI lifeboat and transported out to deep water.

RNLI volunteers from Flint were called to Airbus UK's loading facility, just downstream from Saltney Ferry at around 11:30 BST.
