Bikers' tribute to 'popular' Arthur Jones

Hundreds of mourners have attended the funeral of a Denbighshire man who died while on a walking holiday on the Greek island of Crete.

Arthur Jones, 73, was missing for more than six weeks before his body was found under a tree in a remote area near Chania.

More than 300 people packed inside St Mary's Church in Denbigh.

Hundreds more listened to a relay of the service outside.

Mr Jones arrived in a hearse on a motorcycle side-car, escorted by hundreds of fellow motorcyclists.

The Reverend Jonathan Smith, the Rector of Denbigh, said Mr Jones was very important to the community and a popular figure.
