Wales' council redundancy costs revealed

As councils across Wales are forced to make cuts, many have been shedding thousands of staff.

Now, for the first time, how much it is costing in redundancy payments has been revealed.

Figures obtained by BBC Wales show the amount local authorities are spending has nearly doubled.

Last year the bill was more than £30m. There are also big variations between councils as they look to cut costs by reducing their workforce.
