Wales charities gather to support health in Africa

Action to improve healthcare in Africa is the aim of Welsh charities meeting for a conference in Cardiff on Wednesday.

Twenty programmes are currently in progress in 11 countries in sub-Saharan Africa with the goal of improving the health of some of the world's poorest people.

Those involved estimate nearly three million people have been helped directly or indirectly by the projects.

Angela Gorman, one of the founders of Life for African Mothers, told Charlotte Dubenskij of BBC Radio Wales how a TV documentary inspired her to launch the charity,
