Welsh NHS Confederation says time is running out for health service

The director of the Welsh NHS Confederation said time was running out for the health service and change had to happen.

Helen Birtwhistle told BBC Radio Wales that although the public welcomed change, it did not realise the extent that change that was needed within the health service.

It comes as Health Minister Mark Drakeford is calling on the Welsh health service to adopt a policy of "prudent medicine" prioritising resources on proven care.

He has been speaking at the confederation's annual conference.

Ms Birtwhistle spoke to Oliver Hides.
